I am a very adventurous kind of guy and very ambitious. When I discovered this Mongol Rally there was no way I could pass it up; this is a chance at a once in a lifetime journey. I could write about anxiety and depression or a traumatic brain injury and I guess these examples can be indicative of my tenacity during challenging times but I don't want to write a sob story. What I want to share or convey is a spirit of adventure. Its a symbol of a journey through life that brings others along for the ride. Its like you are helping and teaching others to improve their ride or learning things from others to improve your ride. I learned it is experiencing the victories in staggering times that provide one with a feeling of actually being alive. To overcome and to help others overcome miseries in life is what it means, for me, to be alive. The goodness of life tastes much sweeter when you have been acquainted with the bad.
I hope you will donate for me and to these charities "Cool Earth" and "Acts of Random Kindness." I have chosen to sponsor Cool Earth, which focuses on halting deforestation in the rain forest. It gives the natives a chance to buy back their land, maintain it and conserve it's gifts. Acts of Random Kindness is just that. It brings people in the local community together to help out those who need a hand. Whether its fixing up a house for a person who is in need or delivering donated gifts to children, this is one hell of an organization that do some great things. Check out the video below.
